DSL Blinking fix for D'Link DSL-2750U

DSL led blinking is one of the common reason for internet disconnections for adsl type of ISP connections. Usually this happens whenever there is some kind of interference or disturbance in the dsl line. Too many joints left open or faulty splitter is also one of the reasons for DSL blinking.

Before you go ahead and customize your dlink adsl router, please check on the following things :

  • - make sure there is no disturbance in your telephone line
  • - check your dsl cable
  • - check if the dsl led gets stable bypassing the splitter


If the above mentioned steps do not help, please follow the instructions given below on to fix dsl led blinking on your DSL-2750U (fw version : 1.0IN)

  • - Log into the gui of the device (default : 192.168.1.1 )
  • - username : admin
  • - password : (blank) or admin
  • - Click Advance tab > Network Tools > Adsl
  • - Adsl Modulation > Select Multimode 
  • - uncheck all these options(g.dmt;  glite; g.imp; T1.413; AnnexL;  AnnexM;)
  • - check mark only on ADSL2+
  • - Save settings & reboot done
  • - Give your router 2-3 minutes and your dsl led will stabelize.



Note : Incase the dsl blinking issue does not resolve, please contact your ISP and file a complaint. Verify your dsl line and its connectivity with a test modem.
